Boston City Council approves new climate-friendly building code.

The council approves the so-called optional “specialized stretch code” that makes does not ban but drastically discourages the use of fossil fuels in new buildings. When signed by Mayor Michele Wu, it will make Boston the eighth community in the state to adopt the change.
